History Of The Home
This house was built in the early 1900's-1910 by the Killenger's. The community where it is located is called Spring Valley. The structure of the little town was very simple back then. This house sat directly up on a hill above everyone else and was used as the community funeral parlor. Down below this house at the foot of the hill the Dr's house was located. Just a short distance away the community church was stationed and setting high up on another hill was a simple 2 room school house ..and the local post office was close by the school. The pictures (of the town structures) posted below were taken during the second investigation.
The undertakers family lived upstairs in the house. The 1st level was used as the funeral parlor. It consisted of a ladies sitting room, a gentleman's sitting room and a viewing room.
This house has known so many tragedies in it's century of existence. In 1917 the flu epidemic took 6 of the Killenger children. Ill fate was soon to follow again when one of their son's was MIA in world war I never to be seen from or heard from again. One of their daughters who married a Moore drank lye on accident while in a drunken stuper and died in the house as well. They are all buried at the church graveyard that is below the house at the bottom of the hill.

The current owner bought the property nearly 30 years ago and remodeled it. It was in shambles when they found it! The current owner appreciates the rich history of the house and embraces the spirits that abound!

Reported Paranormal Activity
_Home owner said that when she had the place remodeled that the workers she hired was afraid to work there because the Ghosts .
_Strangers that have never been there has felt uneasy without knowing why or knowing any of the past history of the place.
_The home owner's Granddaughter saw a lady in yellow all the time that no one else could see.
_A visitor pulling up in the drive seen a lady looking out the window at them when there was no one in the house.
_The home owner was watching TV one night with her husband and he got up and went out of the room. She said she was getting into the movie and turned to speak to her husband who she thought had walked into the room ....but she said she saw a tall slender man standing there leaned up against the door frame. She said he had knee boots and she said he vanished in thin air.
_There has been a ghost cat spotted there in the house. The home owner said her husband had let him in the house and his vanished. Sometimes she feels a cat get in the bed with her ..and thinking that it is one of her cats she will look and there will be nothing there.
_ In the home owner's bed room there is some odd happenings. She said the closet door opens on it's own and closes. She has witnessed the door knob to her bedroom turn only to find out there is no one on the other side.
_They have found lists written that make no sense to them just laying around in odd places.
_They have a clock that often stops at 15 minutes to 7 the clock is in perfect working order.
_There is many cold spots in the house that comes and goes.
_The home owners son lives right next door. He swears one night when she was looking out the window that there was someone behind her looking toward him.
_There is a room upstairs we refer to as the burgundy room that is very active also. The home owner said she witnessed a mist float into that room when she walked up the steps one night. She also informed me that she had a friend over who attempted to sleep in that bed room she woke in the middle of the night screaming and informed the home owner that that room was haunted...she refused to sleep in that room with out her daughter in the same bed with her. The homeowner told me that many years ago her sister came to spend the night with her small children. They could not sleep in that room and ended up sleeping on the den floor down stairs. Please read the 2nd investigation page about my ordeal in this bed room. I knew nothing about the others trying to stay in that room until after my experience. The first visit here my husband had a personal experience as well in this room .
_The home owner has a daughter who is deaf. She can read lips really well and can understand and communicate well with others. She told the home owner something that struck her funny ...when the home owner asked "WHO TOLD YOU THAT"? ..she replied to her mom saying "The ones up stairs did! "
Out Side The House
The Dining Room/ Former Viewing Room
This room is now the dining room. When the home was a funeral parlor this very
room was the room that the bodies were laid out in the caskets for viewing. This
room was kind of off feeling to me. At one point while we were in there. I was
sitting across from Mike where he is in the bottom picture and he was doing EVP
recordings. He spoke out loud and said 2 times ... "if there is any one there
touch Betty Sue". When he repeated that a second time something touched me on
the back of the shoulder. It felt as if a icy hand had been laid on me! It was
like some one put an ice pack directly on my skin. It shook me up to the point I
had to leave the room. I was not expecting what ever it was in the room to obey Mike's request.
The Burgundy Room
This room is one of the rooms upstairs. The upstairs was the living quarters of
the original owners when the funeral parlor was operating at the turn of the
century. This room also was the former bed room of the current home owner's son
who died in his early 30's! This room was also the room of the Killenger's children. Some who passed away in this very bed room. This room was very active and without the home owner
telling us where the most active place in the house was we found it! Although we
did not get any positive photos in this room on this visit. My husband had a
personal experience in the room while he was in there sitting by himself. He
said that there was a white mist that hovered over the bed for a few seconds and
then disappeared. We do not doubt him one minute when he tells us something like
that because he is the die hard skeptic of the group. When we packed up to leave
the home owner was not too surprised about what Barry had saw. She told us that
a few days before that she had been coming up the steps and had noticed there
was a white mist that disappeared into the very bed room that Barry had witnessed
it. We had not heard that story before hand ...so it was further confirmation
that Barry had indeed had an paranormal experience. (Make sure you read about
the 2nd investigation. It was a over nighter and was something to remember) Here

Home Owners Bedroom ( upstairs)
This is the homeowners bedroom. She said this room is very active. Something gets a kick out of messing with her closet door. She said she can lock it and it will be unlocked and opened by its self. She said on occasion that she has seen the door knob to her room turn by itself only to find there is no one at the other side of the door. She also told of a time when she thought she would play a prank on the spirits and leave the door to her closet open to save them the trouble of opening it. She said she opened the door and walked out of the room and heard a door slam hard and she was surprised to see that her closet door had been slammed shut! She also spoke of feeling a cat get in the bed with her. She said she and others has witnessed a yellow tabby cat that disappears. I myself took a picture of what looked to be cat eyes on the steps coming up to the 2nd floor. I thought maybe it was her actual live cat's eyes but when I lightened the photo there was no cat there just the 2 glowing eye's. I lost this picture when my computer crashed so I have nothing to show although the home owner saw it as well as Anita. I did get a very awesome EVP in this room. I was recording and everyone else was in the hall...I spoke out loud and said "Do YOU SMELL THAT" ? There was and odd smell that over come me and to my surprise when I listened to my tape there is a lady who answers my question...she says "UH HUH" CLICK HERE FOR EVP ! Mike had his video camera on the closet door and we all witnessed it as it came open all by itself. We would close the door and latch it only to come back in the room later and it be open .
The Hallway
This is where a lot of activity happens at night when everything is quiet. The home owner said you can hear children running and playing. She said it was all happy sounds of laughter and such. As stated above the funeral parlor owner had 6 children to die their of his own due to an flu epidemic. I had my laptop on the floor and I stretched out on the floor working on my computer and it was like I was enveloped in cold air...and then it was gone in an instant. This happened many times during the night to me .
Notes :
We arrived at the location 4:30 Pm Saturday Oct 17th...full Moon (actually the blood moon) It was dry and warm & no wind .
