Notes: We drove the whole length of the road and back. From what I understand there is several places through out the road that are haunted. From what I have gathered there have been many killings on that road. I have heard stories from different sources. One story that I have heard is of someone getting murdered and dragged along the road by his killers. I also have heard of someone murdering a colored girl and burying her in a shallow grave and some one discovering her cause her hand was above ground. I also have heard of a haunted house on that road (see pictures on down below)! Also I have heard stories of the church on that road that is haunted. I have heard tales of the lights coming on in side the church when no one was there (they have motion detectors installed now).

A local historian told me that a body was found dumped in the graveyard at the church of a man,whom Dennis Stockton killed (Dennis Stockton was a convicted murderer whom VA put to death for 2 murders). Stockton while in prison helped plan on of the US's only successful mass escapes from death row. When it happened he refused to go with the others in hopes of proving his innocence. 6-08 I got an update on this happening by a gentleman who lives there on Creasey Chapel Rd. He was the brother of the sheriff at the time Dennis Stockton was being investigated. He said that Dennis had brought a body there to dump it but instead ended up taking it to Ladonia Church Rd right on the NC/ VA line. Read my Kibler Valley page for more on Dennis Stockton. This same gentleman confirmed the fact of the dead girl being found in the shallow grave. He also confirmed the fact of the man who was dragged to death. He said this all happened VERY close to the chimneys.

We checked out the church (Creasey Chapel). We spent some time among the graves there. This was my stepson Blake's first outing with me. I let him use the voice recorder. I snapped pictures with my new Polaroid digital camera. Which by the way for some reason went through a odd amount of batteries. It takes 4 triple A batteries. It went through 12 within 5 minutes. I finally gave up and put the digital up and used my 35 mm. Barry my husband said that he thought that everything was at peace at the graveyard so we finished up there and went on down the road.

 

           

Although we did not get any positive pictures I posted a few pictures of the location above.

 

About 1/4 mile from the church on Creasey Chapel road. I spotted a lone chimney standing amongst some ruins. We stopped to check it out. From minute one I get a very uneasy feeling. For some reason the Blair witch movie kept flashing through my mind LOL. From what it appears there used to be a huge house there. Now all that is left is 2 brick chimneys and a pile of rubble. I kept getting cold chills and the feeling like I was being watched. My hubby tells me that he felt the place was creepy and that it had a weird feel to it. To be honest we did not stay long and I AM GLAD LoL. I snapped pictures with my 35mm at the house site. I was unable to move around there much for fear that I would hurt my leg again. After breaking my leg last year and having surgery on it I am not ashamed to say I am paranoid about hurting it again. Barry and Blake rambled through the ruins for me. When we get back to the truck I took some pictures in the middle of the road. We heard something in the woods and it was getting closer to us so we left really fast LOL. It was a freaky night that is for sure! Oh yeah we did not have our digital thermometer with us, but Barry said as he approached the first chimney that he felt a notable temp drop! I will take my pictures for developing and post any positive results here!

1-11-05 We went back to check the location out during the day. I had a roll of film to finish out ...and plus I could move around better when I could see without worrying about hurting my leg again. Please believe me when I say that this place is a spooky during the day as it is at night. I felt very uneasy here. The camera troubles I had when we were there during the night hours of 1-8-05 continued this day. I could not get my digital to work while inside the ruins of the house as well as my 35mm. The only picture I got of the place during the day with my digital camera was when we were leaving and I said out loud "PLEASE LET ME TAKE ONE GOOD PICTURE AND I WILL LEAVE YOU ALONE"! That picture was perfect! When I got my film developed I discovered the picture that I took inside the ruins did not take it was as if a big flash of white light was in front of me. The only picture I got was of the chimney to the right of the ruins. The pictured I attempted to take with my digital inside came out the same way with the flash of white light. Something bad happened at that place there is no doubt in my mind. It is very unsettled and eerie there. I forgot to mention Barry found a tree to the left of the ruins that had dried blood spatter all over it. He said that it could have been that maybe a hunter shot something out of the tree ...raccoon etc? It was odd regardless.

Well for some reason this location just draws me to it. While I was there this time it seemed really unsettled again. While standing inside the house site I clearly heard footsteps on some tin that was laid by where the porch used to stand. There was no one there except me. My husband was down in the woods behind me and my stepson was in the truck (he was being unruly). There was also the notable cold spots that I have felt over time I have been there before. The cold spots were so dramatic that it hurt my teeth when I took a breath in.

I have one photo that had something in it. My original got deleted when I was editing The pictures below had been inverted and highlighted and NOTHING ELSE WAS ALTERED. There was a transparent form in it by the chimney. The form to me looked like an animal of some sort. It kind of like a kola bear but when I inverted the picture I see what looks like a Child hugging a teddy bear in front of it. WHAT DO YOU THINK IT LOOKS LIKE? It seems kind of like a hologram of sorts.

A nice lady by the name of Mary did some enhancements to my pictures above(compare side by side). She pulled some interesting images out of the photos. I have gotten at least 2 emails before I posted these pictures from people telling me they have found the same thing in my photos. Can you see her in the pictures? Look toward the bottom of the photos in the center right next to the tree. Here are the enhancement Mary was nice enough to send me. She highlighted the image so it would be easy to see.

             

Update # ....Someone just emailed me some information stating that the house had been torn down by the state and that it left many of the people in the area wondering why. I am going to conduct an investigation starting with talking with some of the people who live near by. Out of all the people that I have spoken to already everyone of them has said that the place is very creepy....you know what I agree!  I also got info from a man that attends the church there and he informed me that it was a fact that a young colored girl was found in a shallow grave next to the entrance to the church ...also that it might be a urban legend but it is also reported that the bell tower to the church is haunted due to a young girl many years ago hanging her self there. This struck me funny due to the fact the first time Anita or my stepson seen the bell tower both of them swore they seen something there. None of us knew anything about the history of the place at that time. Also the gentleman told me that some people have reported seeing floating lights in the graveyard at the church through at the years so they concluded it as being haunted. I want to add that we found an older cemetery in the woods about 1/4 mile past the old church and the old house site. Some of the markers are just rocks with no inscriptions. Notes : This was just a trip to show Mike and Anita the site since they have not been there before. As soon as we got there Mike started getting vibes. Mike said he really felt like there was a woman spirit there and some sort of dark Spirit. We all felt the usual cold spots. Anita said she felt like there was some activity there as well. No longer than we were there I got 3 positive photo's using my kodak 35mm. I have another roll of film to develop,  hopefully it will turn up some evidence to. I posted the pictures below. I will post others as I get them. Anita has not gotten her film developed yet either.

I have no idea what the photo above is.This picture was taken about the time that my brother kept saying he felt something did not want us there. He made the comment that he felt it pushing at him.We were stepping up into the middle of the ruins to see what we could get.
