The picture above is of my brother Mike and I. We are holding Andrew and Abagail his ( and of course they also belong my SIL Anita to, who really did all the hard work) newborn twins. They were born 10-23-08. 
 
My name is Betty Haynes. I am the founder of HillBilly Ghosthunters of Ararat VA. I am one of those people that believe there is something more at the end of life other than just dieing. The things that I have witnessed and seen in my life lead me to believe that for some reason some spirits remain here on earth. Just because of my belief in spirits and ghosts...does not mean that I do not believe in GOD because I do believe in The Almighty God with all my heart. There is just things in the world that we will never truly understand. I will live out the rest of my days in hopes of getting that one piece of evidence that can not be questioned and will show proof beyond a doubt that there is life after death!  You can read about some of my paranormal experiences by clicking on this link. 
 
 
Barry is more or less the semi SKEPTIC in the bunch. He keeps things real for us. Although he will readily admit that he has had several paranormal experiences in his life. He is a little on the sensitive side and sometimes I wouldn't be afraid to say he is Psychic. Barry is always willing to tag along with me when I JUST HAVE TO check a place out when the rest of the group can't make it. He is always ready and willing when I need him. I want to add that Barry is the love of my life and a very special man. I am very lucky to have him in my life and for him to want to be a part of my research well that just is an added bonus. Barry is a carpenter by trade and a very talented one I might add. Barry shares my love for animals and is one of those people that children are just drawn to. In my opinion if you can win the love of children and animals then you must have a caring and loving soul.



This lovely lady is Pearlie. She is mine and Mike's Mom. She likes to tag along with us sometimes just to see what is happening.  Mom likes going to new places and it is handy to have an extra person around to lend a hand on investigations.

This is Anita. She is married to my brother Mike. She loves anything paranormal. She is always game and up for a good ghost hunt. She works in the lab at the Tyson Plant. Anita is a good hand at going over our material from investigations. This is Michael he happens to be my little brother. He is our co founder. He lives in North Wilkesboro NC. He is our video man when we do field investigations. Spirits like to communicate to Mike in one way or another. It has been my experience if Mike says he feels something or sees something you might as well believe him. Mike also has pre warning dreams to. Mike is a jack of all trades during the day. He operates a garbage service. He also does roofing, carpentry work. He is a very gifted auto mechanic and he does just about anything else you can think of. Dec 07 Mike graduated from BLET ( Basic Law Enforcement Training) in Surry County NC. We are very proud of Mike.
 
 
 
                                         
Meet Andrew Michael (weighed 4 pounds and 9 oz) and Abagail Rose (weighed 3 pounds and 11 oz).They were born a month early due to complications, but they are doing wonderful now. Congrats to Mike and Anita, you did well! I am enjoying spoiling my new niece and nephew!
